Our breed changes, our National evolves, and every year we learn something new about the Doberman you simply can’t get from books alone. Whether you’re already approved or thinking about applying, staying connected to the DPCA’s judges education keeps your eye sharp and your understanding grounded in real dogs, not old notes.
It’s also fun! Where else do you get to talk structure, temperament, movement, and history with people who love the breed as much as you do? Every seminar, ringside mentoring session, and hands-on experience helps make sure the next generation of Doberman judges sees the whole dog, not just the outline.

Thursday, October 1 2026: Ringside Mentoring during Dog judging by parent club approved mentors.
Friday, October 2: Noon-5pm SEMINAR: DPCA Judges Educational committee will present the History, Temperament, Type, Head, Structure and Gait using computer presentations and live dog demonstrations along with panel discussions. HANDS-ON WORKSHOP: Presentation of quality dogs for examination and evaluation to begin ½ hr after judging is complete or immediately following seminar.
Saturday, October 3: Ringside Mentoring during Best of Breed by parent club approved mentors.
Additional ringside mentoring will be provided throughout the event beginning Wednesday, September 30 with advance notification.
