The Futurity and Maturity Stakes are special competitions held each year at the DPCA National Specialty to honor the breeders and young Dobermans shaping the future of the breed. The Futurity encourages the breeding of the best possible Doberman Pinschers and rewards breeders for their dedication and vision. The Maturity offers a second opportunity for dogs from Futurity-nominated litters to compete, including those who were slower to mature and ready to shine in their second year.
Futurity Litter
Nominate after the breeding, but before puppies are 8 days old by breeder/co-breeder who is a DPCA member
Futurity Puppies
Puppies must be in a futurity nominated litter and be nominated before they reach 4 months of age. Can be nominated by breeder or owner.
Maturity
Nominations open April 15 – July 31 for Futurity Nominated litters. Can be nominated by breeder or owner.
